Helen and her daughter Lisa shared many years of breeding,showing and Specialing some of the breeds top GWP's under the Ripsnorter Kennel prefix. American, Canadian, Australian, Bahamian,British and Argentinean titled Best in Show winners, National Specialty winners, #1 Breed and Show Dogs, Futurity winners, Top Obedience dogs, Champions, JR., SR. and Master Hunters are proud to have Ripsnorter in their pedigree. These great results have been a well planned, long time dream come true for their family.
In 1983 Helen started handling other breeds professionaly and has been honored to have handled other top show dogs to Best in Shows, including a Brittany, Ch. Sterling Oaks Sir Bentley, "Bentley" and a Borzois, Ch. Majenkir White Diamonds, "Ice",and a German Wirehaired Pointer, Ch. Ripsnorter's Thunderhart, "Storm". "Decoy", Ch. Littleriver's Decoy Dancer, JH., CD. a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever showed to #1 Toller and won the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd AKC National Specialties and won the Canadian National Specialty
Helen continues to totally love showing dogs and recently married a wonderful man that also comes from a dog background. James Witt has been involved in the dog world for over 35 years with English Coonhounds. He bred, trained and competed in AKC, UKC and PKC Hunts. He finished many Nite Champions and Grand Nite Champions and in 1984 & 1986 owner-handled the AKC World Champion English Coonhound " Moores Salt". Jim also enjoyed training and hunting bird dogs and continues today with their GWP's.
When Jim and Helen are not showing dogs or trail riding, you'll find them nestled in the middle of 55 acres in the center of Ohio having fun with their dogs, horses and life.
